Quick update
Okay, sorry I haven't had a chance to get to this, but it's been a busy week. I arrived home on the 26th and on the 27th, my fiance, who I thought was still stuck in Fallujah, called and said he was on his way to my house!! I hadn't seen him for 10 months, and didn't think I'd be able to see him on leave, so it's been wonderful. I got to vote in the real election, and I voted for Bush. We watched the results all day. My whole family is democrat, so everyone else was upset that Bush won. But, I'm all for giving him another shot. I've still got a week and a half and I plan on doing a WHOLE lot of shopping and eating of really unhealthy food! I'm trying not to watch the news too much, but from what I hear, things are about the same in Mosul, car bombs and kidnappings... can't wait to get back...

I saw your comment about having voted for Bush. I presume you're in favor of the war and are satisfied with your leadership. Things must be going much better than we've been told.
What a wonderful synchronicity for both you and your fiance to be home at the same time. I'm happy for you.
I think over 75% of your fellow active duty personnel voted for Bush along with you.
I read where someone in Iraq said he didn't care who was president as long as he was allowed to do his job and finish his job over there. That must be why most military members voted for Bush--they thought he was more likely to let them finish the job.
