Busted.
I was walking back from the internet shack last night and I was almost back to my trailer when a truck pulls up beside me. It was the sergeant major wondering what the hell I was doing walking around the FOB by myself. I explained myself as best as I could and after telling me not to do it again, he says, "It’s for your own good."
Sounds like my dad.
Here’s the thing. I understand not walking around by myself at nighttime… but the rule also applies during the day. I have a job I need to do and I wasn’t able to do it because I couldn’t walk to the part of the FOB I needed to go to by myself. It’s frustrating.
We were supposed to leave to go back today, but it seems that flights have been grounded, so I guess I"ll have to work again today :(
